Recommended Care/Health Tips for Sphynx Kittens/Cats:

• Feed them quality brand kitten food with a high taurine content of at least 0.17% (0.15% for aduluts).
• Fresh water and hard food min twice daily & soft food min once daily (it is not necessary for adults to have soft food, although they do enjoy it as a treat).
• Don’t change foods abruptly as they may experience upset stomachs
• Bathe at most once a week, but only as needed; use Baby Oil with no soap or shampoo is  recommended as they tend to have sensitive skin, in addition do not scrub their skin, even with a wash cloth, as they will break out with a rash.
• Clean ears with washcloth and/or cotton balls when necessary; use extra care if using Q-tips as they may cause damage to the ear – a bit of alcohol can help.
• When picking up cats support their upper and lower bodies to provide them with a sense of stability. Holding them close to your chest also helps to make them feel secure when lifted.
• Provide a cozy bed for when you are not home.
• They love fluffy toy mice and sparkly toys to play with.
